Three-Day Mock Disaster Training

Disaster Training
He Restores joined forces with an incredible group of partner organizations in the North Georgia Disaster Response Alliance for a comprehensive three-day disaster response mock trial, held in Woodstock, GA, in November 2025.
The exercise simulated a realistic disaster environment, featuring everything from fallen trees and debris to setting up complete lodging, feeding, mobile shower, and laundry operations. This was a hands-on deployment designed not just to demonstrate, but to significantly sharpen our skills and strengthen inter-organizational unity.

Throughout the three day event, we covered essential areas of disaster response, including:
-
Safe tree felling and chainsaw operations
-
Home base & camp setup
-
Feeding and resource support
-
Mobile services & logistical coordination
-
Cross-organization teamwork
This initiative, known as the North Georgia Disaster Response Alliance, exists to ensure our teams are fully equipped to respond quickly, safely, and effectively when a real disaster strikes. We are incredibly grateful for the partnerships, the training, and the heart behind each organization. When communities are hurting, collaboration is everything—and this exercise proved just how strong we are together. North Georgia, and our entire response team, is better prepared because of this program.
A special thank you is extended to The Land for generously hosting this event, David Breeden with Forest Applications Training, Inc. for his expert consulting and safety coordination, and Keith Quinn of Convoy of Hope for serving as our esteemed guest speaker.
